Ichssa Mrittu

Haroon, an ordinary illegal immigrant from Bangladesh, dies in Astoria. His death creates a lot of controversies — some say it’s a normal death, some say he has committed suicide, and others say he died from Ichssa Mrittu, Bangla for “withdrawal from life”. With music and movement, Ichssa Mrittu depicts the life and reality of every immigrant in this country. Written and directed by Tauquir Ahmed.
