About This Show

Shakespeare’s Henry V takes a strong look at the power of “spin” in justifying the start and perpetuation of war, fighting its battles, and defining “peace” in its aftermath. While Shakespeare’s play glorifies war and celebrates patriotism, it also questions the justice of war, examines the nature of leadership, and turns a critical eye to the makeup of war’s combatants and the cost to its victims. The Judith Shakespeare Company continues its eight-play Shakespeare Unplugged: The History Cycle with a concert performance of the play.
