Haven follows Sarah Kahn’s encounters with four refugees coming to America, and what they all find in today’s post-9/11 landscape. The stories of a former West African soccer star forced to flee his homeland, an adolescent Sierra Leonean war survivor, an Afghani detained on September 12th, and a Bosnian child who witnessed her family’s murder are interwoven with Ms. Kahn’s own journey from actress to human rights worker.
This performance is part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
