About the Show
In the raw and unflinching dark comedy "HardLove," a volatile late-night encounter fueled by booze and magnetic attraction forces two strangers (Miray Besli & Chandler Stephenson) to confront their fears, desires, and the fragile lines between connection and destruction. The American/Turkish production is adapted from the original Turkish play by Anıl Can Beydilli. Directed by Jee Duman.
“HardLove” recently received raves at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe. The show plays Thursdays & Fridays from Nov. 6-Dec. 12 at SoHo Playhouse, 15 Vandam St, New York, NY 10013.
Through elegant, stylized choreography, “HardLove” introduces audiences to ChiChi a raw, free spirit with a wild heart and Theodore, the epitome of a well-mannered, intellectual who values order and structure. After stumbling into Teddy's apartment blackout drunk, their initial fumbling attempts at a hookup dissolve, exposing vastly different expectations of intimacy and connection.
