The second annual Midtown International Theatre Festival presents an evening of separate yet inter-linked works by the improvisational and unpredictable Japanese group HIU-Shudan.
The evening consists of:
Happy Hour confronts a trick, a mechanism, truth, a lie, a doubt, reverse, conclusion, and vagueness.
Suitcase/Kaban, a piece by Kobo Abe, concerns two men in a sunlit room with a ticking clock and a mysterious suitcase.
Audition, an original piece by HIU-Shudan, is about the keyword “Secret.”
