About This Show

Hamlet is William Shakespeare’s classic tale of murder and familial betrayal. Hamlet, the troubled young prince of Denmark, yearns to avenge his father’s death at the hands of his uncle, and new stepfather, Claudius. His attempts to let the people of Denmark know what Claudius has done drive both him and his love, Ophelia, mad. Director John Basil stages the show using what he terms the “rough-and-ready method,” creating a very immediate and highly physical production.
There are additional performances on Wednesday, November 29, and Thursday, November 30, at 7:30pm.
