About This Show

This world premiere movement-theatre composition by Charles L. Mee filters the voices of Proust, Ginsberg, and others into a powerful testament of our collective human need to remember and represent life’s passing. Gone spins the dreams and recollections of our most intimate collective memories into a moving physical theatre work of subtle emotion and haunting beauty.

The piece was written for his long-time patron Richard Fisher, who died in 2004.

Director Kenn Watt’s staging of Charles L. Mee’s new play uses nearly every avant-garde trick in the book, but not to good effect.
