About This Show

There’s a part of each of us that longs to leave our cares behind and escape into the fantasy world of our dreams. But who would dare turn their backs on everything they’ve ever known to pursue a vision of beauty as insubstantial as the air? Les Colporteurs, the french nouveau cirque for one. They took flight to create Filao, a cross between circus, theater, and jazz which riffs on Italo Calvino’s The Baron in the Trees, the story of a dreamer who arises from the dinner table one evening to spend the next fifty years aloft in the branches of a many-splendored forest.
There are no performances on July 13 and July 18.
