About This Show

Faces… Voices, a dramatic work created to address hate crimes against the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, is presented at Manhattan Theatre Source and WOW Cafe Theater in August 2006. The show is a triptych of three one-act plays written by Doreen Perrine. The show is designed to convey the courage and depth of suffering of victims in the aftermath of hate crimes. While the narrative and characters in Faces… Voices are entirely fictional, the stories portrayed are derived from actual cases. The three plays are designed to move audiences from grief, through despair, to rage, and finally to the place where taking positive action emerges as a response to this provocative work.

Faces… Voices is the inaugural production of Miriam Eusebio Pojects, which is devoted to creating work addressing barriers to world peace. Perrine also serves as visual artist and designer for this project.
