About This Show

The Importance of Being Earnest, Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy of manners, is adapted into a musical, with book and lyrics by Gayden Wren (who also directs) and music by Vance Lehmkuhl. Set in 1890s London, Ernest centers around a dapper young man-about-town who, unbenownst to his friends, is actually a wealthy gentleman farmer from the provinces. When his secret is discovered, an increasingly complex farce of love, lies, and mistaken identity is set into motion.
