About the Show
New Directions Theatre Collective presents edWARd2, a fantastical reinvention of Christopher Marlowe’s Edward II carrying with it a strong anti-war/anti-hate message. Hearts explode, wars and oceans flood the stage, carrion birds plummet into underground dungeons where whispers cause souls to expire. Using puppetry, poetry, and original music, edWARd2, written and directed by Anton Dudley, is an expressionistic, magical, emotionally charged nightmare ride that will surely resonate in the hearts of a nation at war.
