About This Show

The American Theatre of Actors presents Christopher Marlowe’s epic drama Edward II. Marlowe’s play, written shortly before the playwright was assassinated in 1593 at the age of 29, shows the results of fatal combination of love and politics. It is considered the first great history play, foreshadowing Shakespeare’s kingly dramas. Jeff Dailey directs.
