About the Show

A rather brazen mistress and her rather crafty servant are rather alone on Midsummer Eve. In this comedic, experimental spin on Strindberg’s classic, actors trade roles, bend genders and you control the performance by ringing a rather loud bell. That’s right, every time the audience rings this bell, the actors playing Miss Julie and her servant Jean, will switch roles and trade costumes. No matter what!

Dressing Miss Julie is presented as part of the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival.
