About This Show

Deux Mariages: Romola and Nijinski is the tale of the tortured courtship of Vaslav Nijinsky, a Russian ballet phenomenon, and Romola de Pulzky, a Hungarian heiress. At the turn of the century, Sergei Daigheliff’s Ballet Russes were an international dance force, led by the magnificent Nijinksy. But in 1913, the star left the Ballet Russes, and his lover Daigheliff, to marry Romola. Four years later, without a venue to perform in, Nijinsky went mad.
