Crown Heights

Some called it a “riot;” others called it a “pogrom.” Inspired by the still unresolved events of 1991 in the neighborhood that became synonymous with racial strife, Crown Heights goes beyond the sensational headlines. Using live performance, video, song, rap, and dance, Youth Onstage! presents a cast of young Black and Jewish performers to re-enact/re-evaluate/re-create Crown Heights.
