Cowboys

Wings Theater presents Cowboys, a gay country and western musical in the tradition of the singin’ cowboy films of the 1940s. Jeffrey Corrick directs this musical, featuring music by Paul L. Johnson and book and lyrics by Clint Jefferies.

Cowboys is set in Texas and involves a Texas Ranger, a loyal judge, a city slicker, a lovely tramp of a gal, a brave Injun, a tough-as-nails-with-a-heart-of-gold dominating aunt, and a trio of singing cowboys, the Croonin’ Caballeros. The show involves secret identities, under-handed dealings, a gay romance, a horse, campfires, and a lynching all put together in the innocent style of an old Republican Western
