About This Show

Inspired by Paul Schmidt’s and David Mamet’s translations, director Juan Souki collaborated with a diverse troupe of New York actors and designers in deconstructing Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece. The result is a collection of short scenes and sexy interludes that has been praised by viewpoints’ guru Anne Bogart as “A Cherry Orchard that transports Chekhov squarely into our present climate with great exactitude and theatrical flair. I was knocked out by the event.”

Cherry Orchard explores the boundaries between sex, power, desire and human relations in a world torn apart. Presented in a collection of short scenes and sexy interludes.
