Byrd’s Boy

In September 1988, night watch woman Birdie MacCauley entered a Baltimore warehouse, just as she had done nearly every night for twelve years. What waited in the dark was someone with the power to turn her thirty-three year-old life upside-down–a bedraggled, apparently homeless, crazy, brilliant, incisive, exasperating old man with absolutely no idea who he was.
