White Bird Productions presents Boro Tales: Brooklyn, conceived as a way to explore contemporary issues in relation to the urban physical environment. It is the first in a series of five theatre projects featuring works of prominent and culturally diverse writers from each borough of New York, chosen because of their gender, ethnicity, style and experience. These artists were commissioned to respond to the challenges of the dynamics of culture, with its endless variations on ethical and moral traditions, by reinventing a fairy tale and setting it in their own borough – Brooklyn!
