About This Show

Blessed Unrest – An Evening of Samuel Beckett is a fascinating evening of short plays by Samuel Beckett, the most influential playwright of the twentieth century:

Play, completed in 1964, is an entertaining and savage drama that veers from farce to tragedy through the memories and stuggles of three people who find themselves up to their necks in urns and compelled to speak by a mysterious light that rapidly flits from one to another.

Written in 1980, Rockaby, one of Beckett’s boldest experiments in theatrical form, explores the mind of a woman appraising her lonely, desperate life in a lyrical, heartbreaking monologue.

That Time, his hypnotic, exquisite 1975 play reveals the thoughts of an isolated man looking back over his life. Through his trademark spare poetic language, Beckett movingly reflects on themes of love, loneliness and memory.
