Evolved from its open mic roots of words, rhythms, sounds, dance, and rituals originating out of Spanish Harlem’s Carlito’s Café to a performance carnivale done urban style at the Lower East Side’s Nuyorican Poet’s Café.

Now Barriolesque is coming home to the Poet’s Den in Spanish Harlem and will feature a vast array of talent: including spoken word artists, comedians, rappers, dancers, musicians, and singers.
