Antigone, the story of a young girl that defies the overwhelming power of the state in pursuit of what is right, has been the subject of debate since 441 BCE. Jean Anouilh’s challenging version, first performed in occupied France in 1944, is reimagined and rebuilt for the 21st century by this promising ensemble, the Wandering Theatre Company.
