American Living Room Festival 2002

HERE presents The American Living Room Festival 2002. The festival includes more than one hundred performance pieces, involving approximately 1000 artists.

There are three different theater-related components:

The Directing Cabaret, curated by Sigrid Gilmer, Yana Landowe, Michael Lonardo and Kristin Marting, features fourteen distinct programs, each consisting of three new works by three hot, young directors. Three short pieces are presented in one evening (with intermissions in between) with the purpose of showcasing the diversity of emerging downtown artists.

The Performance Series, presented every Thursday and Friday in August, features two unique pieces created by some of New York?s most dynamic solo performers. Curated by Lisa Levy, Kristin Marting and Lake Simmons.

The Puppet Parlor, curated by Barbara Busackino and Basil Twist, features three short puppetry pieces in two different evenings.
