ALLYSON GREENE DANCE returns to Danspace Project with a video titled “LG”(elegy) and two new works, PARAGRAPHS ON WIND and FOUR VOICES, INSIDE OUT. “LG”, a visual video poem, transporting solo dance to the striking landscapes of White Sands, New Mexico and Therassia, Greece. The poem evokes the shifting shape of memory and provides the visual metaphor transformed in the two new works. FOUR VOICES and INSIDE OUT are inspired by the ferocious beauty of a childhood haunting place, White Sands. Contrasting silence and stillness with blasts of physical encounters make this eight-dancer work, a personal journey with striking images of human interaction and eventual transformation.-dlm
