About This Show

This non-returnable gift of holiday entertainment captures the joy and jubilation, the Murray-ment and magnificence of the holiday season (all denominations, orientations and sexual proclivities are celebrated). Only an unrehabilitated Scrooge would not be touched by Hill-arious skits like: Murray as Baby Jesus and Rudolph; heckling of and by the audience; cheesy holiday songs; a sing-a-long with the Hill Holiday Tabernacle Choir; bodacious burlesque; and a heavy snowstorm of wacky, wild, almost certainly inebriated downtown acts.

Murray also promises several heartfelt moments, especially when he reads his favorite childhood holiday story out loud and hopes for peace in these troubled times where we’re allowed to fight a war, but forbidden to smoke indoors. And, in a Murray tradition sure to inspire a queasy mix of joy and dread, that jolly old perv Santa Claus makes a surprise guest appearance (encouraging females in the audience to sit on his lap and make a wish).

Murray Hill, “the reigning patriarch of downtown performance” (The New York Times), has landed his sleigh on The Island of Misfit Guests—returning with some of the most gifted and damaged downtown artists ever to grace the stage. You’ll be shocked, awed, touched and possibly groped by the rotating cast of characters:
