6 White Plates

KGB presents deep ellum ensemble’s ninth production 6 WHITE PLATES. The story follows two men, one living and one dead, moving toward each other in a series of fevered trances. A third attempts to keep them apart, but their collision is inevitable, it is the reckoning of past and present. Inspired by Ibsen’s Ghosts, Appalachian folklore and by Matsukaze, a 14th Century Noh drama, this show follows the ambiguous relationship of these three men (are they generations, lovers, brothers, the same person?) to explore the undeniable presence of the past and the irresistible pull toward the future.
