Are we responsible for our own illnesses? In this “solo play with other people in it,” Lisa Kron explores this question, weaving together stories from her stay in an “environmental ecology clinic” with tales of of her childhood in a racially integrated neighborhood which was “healed” from decline by her mother’s work. Kron is joined on stage by the character of her mother, who’s not sure she wants to be in a play, and a chorus of four equally uncooperative actors. Well is presented by Dixon Place and the Public Theater.
