About This Show

Theatre for a New Audience presents the U.S. premiere of a drama by Harley Granville-Barker, a contemporary of George Barnard Shaw. Scripted in 1906, WASTE is a behind-the-scenes look at the political party, the Tories, as they try to win an election. The story centers on a politician who is caught in an abortion scandal. The controversial nature of the play caused it to be banned in England until 1936.
