About the Show

Ida Bee and her son Amaechi return to their African homeland to find the boy’s father, who abandoned them. While there, they must also solve the mystery of the split “Ikenga,” a symbol of manhood and personal achievement passed down through Ida’s family for generations. Woodie King Jr.’s New Federal Theatre presents The Missing Face, by Tess Onwueme. Patricia White directs.
