New York City
Adam Rapp’s new play The Metal Children follows the controversy created in a small town when a Young Adult novel about teenage pregnancy ignites heated emotions over abortion, religious beliefs and modern feminism.
It is presented at The Vineyard as one of the theatre’s Lab Productions — small-scale productions, modest in production values, which give playwrights and directors the opportunity to make changes on a nightly basis. Lab Productions are not open to the press for review, aiming to provide artists with the opportunity to develop exciting new work in front of a discerning New York audience.
While tickets to Lab Productions are regularly available only to Vineyard Theatre members, there will be a limited number of rush seats for $20 released for sale to the general public two hours prior to performances, subject to availability. General audience members may also become a Lab Sponsor for a donation of $50, which includes a ticket to the June 26th 8pm performance of The Metal Children and a pre-show cocktail party with fellow sponsors and playwright/director Adam Rapp.
