About the Show

During the Holocaust, Anne Frank hid in the attic of her father?s office building in Amsterdam from 1942 to 1944. She wrote her life in hiding in the diary she received from her parents on her 13th birthday. After her death, her father published the pages of her diary, and her words have since moved and inspired the millions who have read them.

Composer Grigori Frid lifted the text of this hour-long opera version of The Diary of Anne Frank straight out of Ms. Frank?s diary. Soprano Dunja Pechstein takes us through Anne?s hopes, fears, growing pains, and ultimate faith in the human spirit.

There will be a special Gala Performance on January 24th.
