The Asshole Monologues is a 90 minute set of original comedic, dramatic, musical and poetic monologues all based around the timeless theme of the “Asshole.” Many of the show’s pieces are composed by the varying cast of individual performers, and have resulted in both literal and figurative interpretations of the term. A marriage of the humorous and the serious, it approaches the subject with absurdity and sincerity by including pieces relating to lousy boyfriends, mean parents and medical struggles of the colorectal region. Let’s face it, we all have an Asshole Monologue in us! Proceeds benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (CCFA).
These performances will include many acclaimed theater and film actors such as Michael Winther (Mamma Mia), Jordan Gelber (Avenue Q), John Tracy Egan (The Producers), Lee Wilkof (School of Rock and Little Shop of Horrors, off-Broadway), Alix Korey (Chicago) Heather MacRae (Falsettos), John Bolton (Damn Yankees and Contact) and Miriam Shor (Hedwig and the Angry Inch).
