About the Show

Comprised of some 20 songs as well as poetry and commentary, Serenade the World: The Music and Words of Oscar Brown, Jr. ranges from hilarious tunes such as “Signifying Monkey” and “But I was Cool” to songs of political commentary “Forty Acres and a Mule” to the spiritual melodies of “Joy” and “Column of Birds.”

Starring Genovis Albright accompanied by a jazz trio, the musical revue will be directed by Stephen Henderson and is conceived and produced by Eric Krebs.
