About This Show

Primose, a George Gershwin hit from London in 1924, makes its New York premiere as part of Musicals in Mufti’s 2003-2004 season. George and Ira Gershwin created this classic in England where it ran for nearly a year. The show is about a girl who hopes that both she and the heroine of a serial novel will escape from the same romantic muddle. Our girl does, because she falls in love with the author. The little-known musical gems include: “Mary Queen of Scots,” “Boy Wanted,” “Naughty Baby,” “That Far Away Someone,” and “Berkeley Square And Kew.”
