New Girl in Town

New Girl in Town is composer/lyricist Bob Merrill’s musical version of Eugene O’Neill’s Anna Christie, featuring a book by George Abbott, who also directed the original production. The musical is now presented as part of the York Theatre Company’s Musicals in Mufti series of underappreciated musicals presented in staged concert readings (this year focusing on works linked to George Abbott.)
