About the Show

In Eve Ensler’s Necessary Targets, two American women — a Park Avenue psychiatrist and an ambitous young writer — travel to Bosnia to help women refugees confront their memories of war. Although the two have little in common beyond the methods they use to distance themselves from their subjects, they emerge deeply changed as they confront their own fears in the face of violence, resiliency, and war. The play comes to New York with Tony and Emmy Award-winner and two-time Oscar nominee Shirley Knight and film and stage star Diane Venora of the critically-acclaimed Hartford Stage cast. Michael Wilson directs.

SENATOR HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON, LINDA ELLERBEE,
PAT MITCHELL and EVE ENSLER appear together on Sunday, March 24 for a post-show discussion following the matinee performance.
