The Aquila Theatre Company returns to New York with its production of Much Ado About Nothing, one of Shakespeare’s more mature romantic comedies. Set in a swinging 1960’s London with Emma Peel and The Avengers as their muse, Aquila’s take on the Bard’s classic mixes a wonderfully intricate plot with surprising twists and turns articulated in expert language; and populates its fab world with dangerous women in slinky black pleather and mysterious men in bowler hats and dark suits; all played out to an evocative 60’s sound.
This production closes for the holidays beginning December 9, but has plans to re-open in January at a theater to be announced!
