About This Show

The Flea presents the return of Mrs. Farnsworth, by A.R. Gurney, starring Sigourney Weaver, Gerry Bamman, and Danny Burstein.

Margery Farnsworth, Connecticut society wife and mother, and very unlikely rabble-rouser, bursts like a charmingly absent-minded whirlwind into her New School writing course. Seriously disappointed with the current administration, she is consumed with the idea of penning a tell-all roman a clef about her youthful affair with a Yale undergraduate who may (or may not) have become the most powerful man in the world. Instructor Gordon Bell is all too happy to help Mrs. Farnsworth get the truth out. In swoops Mrs. F’s protective husband (who may or may not be a Republican). With beguiling charm and tender passion for his wife, Mr. Farnsworth presents quite a different view of their collective history and politics.
