About This Show

Playwrights Horizons presents a concert production of Adam Guettel’s musical Floyd Collins as part of a series of its classic shows to open its new home on 42nd Street. Based on actual events that occurred in Barren County, Kentucky in 1925, the musical tells the story of the title character who gets trapped underground while exploring a cavern, becoming the center of America’s first great media circus of the modern era. Directed by Tina Landau (who also wrote the book and additional lyrics), the concert features original cast members Stephen Lee Anderson, Matthew Bennett, Jason Danieley, Martin Morgan, and Cass Morgan, plus special guests Terrance Mann and Romain Fruge.

Thursday, January 23 is a benefit performance. All tickets are $150.
