About This Show

Written and performed by John Tedeschi, Detour reflects the ever-changing-good and not-so-good circumstances that weave all people’s lives. We strive, once we are able to motivate ourselves, to make one step in front of the other but frequently those strides must go in other, often uncharted, directions. This performative work uses original and covered music ranging from Scorpions to Sondheim, stand-up to Socratic stoicism and sex to civility to tell the story of unexpected change in spite of how securely one may try to nail down the yet to come.

This production is part of the Access Theater’s Carnival of Culture.
