About This Show

Armed and Naked in America is 14 playwrights’ sometimes scathing, sometimes funny, always insightful responses to war. Fourteen separate 10 to 12-minute plays are presented over 2 weeks.

Week 1 features a bill of seven plays by such luminaries as Theresa Rebeck, Jose Rivera, Pippin Parker and others; Week 2 features a different set of seven plays by Warren Leight, Kenneth Lonergan, David Rabe, and others. Short videos by some of the city’s hottest sketch comedy groups, music performances, and special guests from the worlds of politics, media, and entertainment will also compliment the evenings.

Famed author and historian Lewis Lapham will be conducting a post-show discussion at Armed & Naked in America on Wednesday, April 18.
