Altruists, The

The Vineyard Theatre will present the world-premiere of Nicky Silver’s new play THE ALTRUISTS, directed by David Warren. A tale of murder and mayhem, this production takes a comic look at the dark side of people who profess to have a social conscience, but whose politics don’t quite match their lives. The play concerns the antics of a group of eccentric New York do-gooders, and takes aim at leftists, fascists, racists, sexists, ageists, gay rights, civil rights, the NEA, the ERA, the NRA, ACT UP and nearly every other movement known to humankind.
