About This Show

The most hysterical and joyous evening of professional theater — that’s both Kosher and delicious — is A Match Made In Manhattan: The Interactive Jewish Wedding Experience, Black Box Entertainment’s zany and poignant long-running hit which involves the audience in all the revelry of a traditional Jewish wedding and so much more…

This wild and crazy affair features hors d’oeuvres; the ketubah signing; the bedeken; the chupah ceremony; a gourmet Glatt Kosher meal; riveting drama; and more laughs and tears than at any wedding you’ve ever attended!

Matt Okin directs more than a dozen of New York’s finest improvisational comedians — including Reuven Russell, Neil Fleischmann, Mordy Lahasky, Esther Russell, Kimberly Rae Miller, Aaron Grant, Peter Jablonski, Richard Lurie, Stephanie Diane Shaw and Stewart Schneck — who bring to life a colorful cast of characters led by Leah, the insightful Brooklyn bride from a strictly Orthodox home, and Sam, her groom, now a Kabalistic rock-and-roller. Traditional music by Yitzy Glicksman and original songs by Avi Kunstler – performed live – as well as traditional dancing, round out the evening’s festivities… We all know what Jewish families can be like, so come meet, mingle, and celebrate with all the relatives — who could be your own — and watch the sparks fly!

Guests at A Match Made in Manhattan have the following menu options:

SALAD ONLY – $36
This option is mainly for guests who want to “enjoy the show” and not worry about extra calories. These guests get to enjoy the appetizer spread and refreshments as well as the first course salad. For desert, these guests receive an assortment of chocolate chip cookies. Due to demand, there are only a limited number of “Salad Only” seats available.

HONEY CHICKEN – $65
This is the standard option for most guests. The meal includes the appetizer spread, refreshments, a first course salad and Dougie’s specially made chicken cutlet, grilled to perfection and topped with their patented Honey-Glazed sauce. These guests also enjoy a side of rice and a green vegetable. Desert is a Chocolate Explosion which must be tasted in order to be believed.

GOURMET FISH FILLET – $65
This option is for those who just aren’t in the mood for chicken. The menu is the same as above, however the chicken is substituted by Dougie’s own Gourmet Fish Fillet.

TENDERLOIN STEAK – $75
Sometimes, you just got to have meat. These guests receive the standard appetizer spread and refreshments, as well as the salad. However, for the main course they can enjoy Dougie’s juicy tenderloin steak grilled to their specifications (medium-rare, medium, medium-well or well-done). Along with the steak comes three side dishes: rice, potatoes and a green vegetable. For desert, these guests receive the Chocolate Explosion topped with non-dairy ice cream.
