About This Show

American concert music was born from Central European romanticism, rich in the sense of a place and its people. From Antonin Dvorak in the 1890’s to today, composers have been inspired by the sprawling rural and dense urban landscapes of America.

This concert is presented in conjunction with the exhibition “Kindred Spirits: Asher B. Durand & American landscape painting,” and all tickets also grant admission to the museum for the full day!
