Gospel Legend Marie Knight recently released her first full length recording in over 20 years. The CD, Let Us Get Together, is a tribute to the late Reverend Gary Davis’s Gospel songs. Marie, like Gary Davis, lives in Harlem and is a preacher. She spent 20 years with Gospel superstar Sister Rosetta Tharpe as a singer, songwriter and performer.

Let Us Get Together is produced by one of the truly great musicians of our time, Larry Campbell, who plays all the stringed instruments on the album and joins Marie for this performance. Larry’s work includes recording and touring with Bob Dylan as well as recordings with Willie Nelson, Rosanne Cash, Paul Simon, B.B. King, Lyle Lovette and Little Feat to name a few. His production credits include The Dixie Hummingbirds, Richard Shindell, Lucy Kaplansky and Ollabelle.

Marie has recently played the last two Lucerne Blues Festivals and also tours as part of the Tribute To Sister Rosetta Tharpe with Odetta and The Holmes Brothers.
