About This Show

Love ‘n Courage is a benefit for Theater for the New City. Its title deliberately suggests a double meaning: “encourage,” since this is what TNC does for emerging and midcareer playwrights, and “courage,” since that is what they need to exist in this world. “Love” may not be all you need, but a good dose of it won’t hurt. The evening is dedicated to the late Ursula Corning, an original benefactor of Theater for the New City, who died last February.

Features readings and performances by F. Murray Abraham, Tim Robins, Eli Wallach and Anne Jackson, Roberta Wallach, Grace Paley, Jerry Tallmer, Mel Gussow and more. The evening will be emceed by Charles Busch.
