Co-Produced by Shaun Derik (Broadway After Dark), Winds of Change, will feature standards, pop, R&B and Broadway, along with original songs by Summers and serves as an Official Launching of Summers’ trademarked, Just A Piano SM Concert Series, and falls on Summers’ birthday.

The show features Timothy Graphenreed (The Wiz) on piano, directed by Leslie Dockery with featured guest vocalist, Tony Award Winner, Adriane Lenox (Doubt).

Lee Summers appeared in the original Broadway Production of Dreamgirls and reprised his same role in the Dreamgirls 20th Anniversary Benefit Performance.
Having entered into the industry as a performer in shows such as the original Mama I Want to Sing, Summers will dust off his charts and vocal chords in an evening of song with Just a Piano SM. Summers was also a featured vocalist at New York’s Motown Café and later received critical acclaim from the New York Times for his work in Off-Broadway’s Little Ham.

Eventually expanding into writing, composing and producing, his works include, Yo’ Alice, Ella=2 0Fitzgerald; First Lady of Song (starring Freda Payne), From My Hometown (www.frommyhometown.net), eight time Audelco Award nominee, including “Best Musical’ – all of which garnered him an “Our Voices” Award from The New Professional Theatre and a 2004 Gilman and Gonzalez-Falla Commendation. Summers’ original funk musical, The Funkentine Rapture (www.funkentinerapture.com) was presented by The National Alliance for Musical Theater in 2005 and starred Billy Porter.

Since 2006, Lee Summers’ Just A Piano SM Concert Series has presented numerous top artists such as Broadway/TV’s, Roz Ryan, Tony Award Winner, Lillias White, All Shook Up’s Tricia Jeffrey and recording sensation Alyson Williams. Upcoming Just A Piano SM artists include Caroline or Change’s, Marva Hicks (December 19th), Wicked’s Julie Reiber (December 22nd), Rent’s Crystal Mone Hall, Kevin Anthony, the legendary Ebony Jo Ann, and many others.
