About This Show

In Las Vegas ’58, Keely Smith performs her hits (“I Wish You Love”) and the songs of the late Louis Prima (“When You’re Smiling”), as well as their famous duets (“Just A Gigolo,” “That Old Black Magic”). In the late 1950s, Smith and Louis Prima – recognized as the top nightclub act in the country – would perform six shows a night starting at 12 Midnight in the Sahara Hotel’s Casbar Lounge. They would entertain the biggest names in show business, from Frank Sinatra, John F. Kennedy and Spencer Tracey to Natalie Wood, Elvis Presley and Howard Hughes.

Smith has enjoyed incredible popularity, commercial success and history achievement throughout a career that has spanned nearly half a century. She is one of America’s greatest living balladeers, the First Lady of Las Vegas and an icon of the swing era. Most recently, the revival of the swing movement introduced a whole new generation to the excitement and fun of her music. Now, with recent smash engagements around the country, her performance career continues to thrive.
