About This Show

The smart and sexy Jane Krakowski – who won a Tony for her notoriously wonderful duet with a bed sheet in “Nine” – gets “banned” as she opens the second leg of Lincoln Center’s 2005 American Songbook series on February 1.

Better When It’s Banned: A Sinful Songbook is an original one-woman concert Jane has developed with Larry Maslon highlighting popular songs that were banned between the Prohibition Era and the introduction of the Motion Picture Production Code of 1930, or Hayes Code, in Hollywood.

Jane will sing such naughty numbers as “The Laziest Girl In Town,” “Love For Sale,” “When I’m Low I Get High,” “My Handyman,” and more.
