Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida

In 1872 Giuseppe Verdi himself presented his masterpiece L’Aida for the first time in Europe at La Scala. 135 years later, the splendor of La Scala’s production of L’Aida, directed by the legendary Franco Zeffirelli was premièred in the 2006-2007 La Scala season. Verdi’s opera is illustrated by the set design of Franco Zeffirelli, who is also the director. The costumes for the production were designed by Maurizio Millenotti.
